Victory Day: The Triumph of Justice and Unity

For centuries, Azerbaijan has been a homeland where various peoples, cultures and religions have lived together. The Jewish community, which has existed on this land for more than two thousand years, has always felt respect, safety and the freedom to preserve its cultural and religious traditions. Therefore, Victory Day carries special meaning for us. It symbolizes the restoration of justice, national dignity, and the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

During the 44-Day Patriotic War, representatives of all ethnic and religious groups of the country defended the homeland. Among them were Jewish soldiers, who demonstrated bravery, loyalty and deep love for Azerbaijan. We honor their memory and bow in respect to all martyrs who gave their lives for freedom and peace.

Today, when visiting the liberated territories, we witness the painful consequences of long-term occupation: destroyed homes, desecrated places of worship, ruined cemeteries. At the same time, we also see rapid reconstruction, new roads, airports, schools and restored cities rising in these lands. This is a clear sign of national strength and unity.

The Azerbaijan Jewish Media Center proudly celebrates this day together with the Azerbaijani people. We remain committed to peace, development and a prosperous future.
