Yesterday, a Caucasus Festival took place in Tel Aviv.
The cultural heritage of the peoples of the Caucasus, including Azerbaijan, was presented by various cultural and musical centers, as well as culinary masters who strictly preserve the traditions of Caucasian and Azerbaijani cuisine.
Among the many participants of the festival, the “Sevgi” music center from Or Akiva stood out in particular.
This ensemble won everyone’s admiration with its dedication to the ancient traditions of Mountain Jewish and Azerbaijani cultures, merging them into a single colorful harmony.
At this grand event held under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and other governmental and public organizations, the honorary guest was our friend, the chairman of the Caucasus Club in the city of Kiryat Yam, Ben Tsion Shmailev.
Ben Tsion is an active representative of the Caucasian community both in Israel and in Azerbaijan.
In an interview given especially for AJM, Ben Tsion noted the high activity of the Caucasian community in general, and the Azerbaijani community in particular, both in Israel and in Azerbaijan.
In recent times, cultural and other ties between the two countries have strengthened even more.
Ben Tsion will soon visit Azerbaijan again on a business and cultural mission.
The festival in Tel Aviv demonstrated the importance of developing the Caucasian community in Israel.
According to him, a large number of people from the Caucasian community, including many natives of Azerbaijan, attended the festival.
We thank the respected Ben Tsion for the photographs from the festival.
