A gastronomic day becomes a symbol of friendship and cultural dialogue between the two countries
Baku - Imagine this: representatives of two countries, sharing history, culture, and friendship, gathered at one table in the heart of Baku. Israeli and Azerbaijani cuisines merge in exquisite tastings, reflecting the richness of flavors, traditions, and histories of both nations. This day became a true symbol of people-to-people diplomacy.
The event was organized by Fahranda Hasan-zade, General Director and founder of Azeri Home Chef. Her project brought together diplomats, public figures, and media representatives at one large tasting composition, where every dish told its own story.
Among the guests were Israel's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Ronen Kraus, and Member of the Azerbaijani Majlis, Anatoly Rafailov, whose presence highlighted the political and cultural significance of the event. On this day, diplomacy was expressed not in documents but in aromas, spices, and human attention.
A special role in the organization belonged to the Magen David movement in Azerbaijan, as well as Nasimi Abilov, General Director of the media platform AJM, who noted:
"When people sit at one table, borders disappear. We share not only dishes but also trust, openness, and respect for each other."
Participants emphasized that this day was more than gastronomy: it was a symbolic act of unity, where Israel and Azerbaijan found a common language through culture, traditions, and shared creativity. Israeli dishes harmonized with Azerbaijani hospitality, creating an atmosphere of warmth, trust, and friendship.
Fahranda Hasan-zade added:
"Every dish is a story. When we share them at one table, we build bridges between nations that remain stronger than any formal agreement."
This day became a living proof that true diplomacy begins at one table, through human emotions, taste, and sincere interest in each other's culture. Israel and Azerbaijan showed that friendship lives in every action, every conversation, and every warm gesture.
